Aloha! Li Ho'i Hou...

I'm back from our trip to Oahu to meet my mom's side of the family. My mom and dad say I did very well on the plane; waking only once in the middle of the flight. We got to the island of Oahu early Saturday morning. We went upstairs to Mac-ma's house. There I met Grandpa Ramon & my great grandma Victoria. I hung out with Mac-ma for the day while mom and dad checked-in the hotel; took a nap and went to the store to get my goodies. It was a day of relaxing at Mac-ma's place.

Sunday, Mommy and Daddy brought me to Waikiki beach. The water was really cold and salty water kept coming into my mouth. I was in the water for about 20 minutes till mommy and daddy thought I had enough. Then mommy and i got ready to go to church and daddy went to find a place with a big screen T.V. to watch the Masters. I got to meet some aunties, uncles and cousins that Mommy is really close to. After church, Mommy and I hung out at Lani's house until Daddy got angry cause Mommy didn't have her cellphone close to her and he was worried. Mommy likes to leave her cellphone far away from her and Daddy thinks that defeats the purpose of a cellphone.

During the week, I hung out with mostly Mommy, auntie Lani, auntie Lynn and my cousins Brooke, Rachel & Hailee. Monday, we went shopping at Ala Moana. There I met auntie Hazel who was working at a coffee shop. Then we met up with Daddy and Jeremy for lunch. Tuesday, we went to the Children's Discovery zone where I played with some toys and saw a lot of fascinating things: bubbles, Filipino jeepney, funny mirrors, all kind cultural things. After that, we had a picnic outside. With all that excitement, I took a nap on the grass.
After the picnic, Mommy and I met up with Daddy and Jeremy to go to the North Shore. We stopped over at Matsumoto's for some shave ice. MMMmmmmm... yummy! Then we went to a famous surfing place called pipeline. Mommy and I stayed on the shore and watched the waves and surfers while Daddy and Jeremy went to fight the waves. Later that night, we met up with aunty Vivian, Lola Minna, uncle Dominic, aunty Denise and my cousins, Tristyn, Sebastian, Lilly & Iris for dinner at Haleiwa Joe's.
Wednesday, mommy and I went to aunty Hazel's house to play with my cousins. Thursday, I went to my first symphony at Nell Blaisedell concert hall. My cousins were playing their recorder with the Honolulu Symphony. I really liked the music. After that, we were supposed to go to the beach but it was overcast so we went to Ala Moana shopping center again. Friday, I went to Chuck-E-Cheese. That night, we had dinner with aunty Lani, Hazel and Lynn. Then, we went to aunty Hazel's house so I can meet Grandma Perla.

Saturday, we all slept in. Then Daddy, Mommmy and I went to Lani's house for a surprise party for my cousin, Matthew who was turning 16. I got to hung out with more auntie, uncles and cousins there. We had to leave early from the party to go to a family dinner at John Dominus. That night, I stayed with Mac-ma since it was our last night in Hawaii.

Sunday, mommy and dady picked me up after they checked out of the hotel. We headed to North Shore to hang out with aunty Viv, uncle Dominic, aunty Denise and my cousins. We hung out at the beach where I stayed in the shade and under an umbrella. At 6, we had to say our goodbyes and headed to Mac-ma's for our last meal of our trip. Then to the airport to go back to Vegas. I had so much fun visiting/meeting mommy's side of the family. She tells me that there are more but we couldn't meet everyone in one visit. Geez!

Till the next Hawaii visit. It might be for my birthday... Yay!
